Q) Need a break? A) Petting Zoo!
As I’m sure you’re all aware – it’s exam season once again, and we always try to do something to help students get through this stressful period. In the past, we’ve done this through revision packs, but these can be limited in number and can be very costly for what they provide students.
This summer, we’ve already worked with the library on a Red Card scheme, as well as booked extra study space in SUSU and the Murray Building over the next weeks – plus, we have a collated a range of really useful tips for revision and essay writing on our Education page.
Because we have a lot of the information online now, myself and Frankie have gone for a different angle, opting to deliver a range of relaxation activities throughout the next two weeks, for people to come along, switch off – and have fun.
Including a Petting Zoo!
As of next week, there will be a different activity held on the red brick area outside the Union building from 11am to 2pm, ranging from bouncy castles and other inflatables, to a 9-hole crazy golf course, Wii consoles and a Petting Zoo.
Anyone can come along, the activities are all completely free to enjoy, and will hopefully give students an opportunity to take a quick break over lunch to just take their mind off of revision or the exam they’ve just had – because relaxation and regular breaks are also an important part of revision.
For anyone who wants to know – we’ve asked for a range of baby animals to come with the zoo, so you can expect lambs, piglets, kids (baby goats…), guinea pigs, chicks, as well as a few other animals. Please make sure you wash your hands before and after!
So if you have a spare moment in the next two weeks – pop on down! And in the meantime, good luck with your revision!
