Lost? – Guide to getting around

In General

Reading Time: 2 minutes

With all the things we have going on at SUSU, it’s important to make sure that you can get there and back…

Uni-link bus service takes students from halls – to campus – to town and back again. If you’re living in halls then it’s free for your first year. Buses are regular, so getting around Southampton during the day is easy.

SUSU Safety Bus runs every evening from Highfield campus from when it gets dark to the end of the night and will take you straight to your door for only £1.50. It means that you can always come along to nights out at the Union and not have to worry about getting back home afterwards. The Safety Bus will even take you home if you live in Winchester.

Also, starting from Monday 1st October, we’re expanding our Portswood Safety Bus service! It means that every Monday, Tuesday and (now) Wednesday night, you can get the Safety Bus straight home from Portswood after you nights out.

If you can’t afford the £1.50 after your night out, then you can also take advantage of our Student Taxi Scheme to get you home.

On Monday 8th October Freshers’ Ball buses will be running from your halls to campus, to save you organising travel in your smart dress.
