We are very pleased to announce the nominees for the first ever Excellence in Teaching Awards.

Despite this being the first year these awards have run, we received an outstanding 663 nominations – and you can see the full list here to see if your favourite lecturer has been nominated!

Lecturers at the University of Southampton were nominated by students in five categories: Outstanding Lecturer, Innovative Teaching, Best Feedback Provision, Contribution to Academic Support, and Teaching & Lifetime Achievement.

We will be announcing the winners of the Course and Faculty awards in the coming weeks, before the University wide winners are announced on May 2nd at our Excellence in Teaching Awards night, which will be recorded by SUSUtv.

Recognising practices that students like is a vital part of being a Course Representative and Academic President – and if you’re interested in getting involved in representing students to the University next year, nominations for these positions are currently open.
