The Christmas countdown has officially begun as the Christmas Light Switch on is confirmed for Friday November 29th. Taking place on the grassed area next to the SUSU Redbrick Square in front of Building 40, the festive fun will start at 4pm with a Christmas market.

The lights will then be switched on at 6pm by Pro Vice-Chancellor International, Professor Mark Spearing and the team of students who represented the University of Southampton in the Enactus World Cup this year.

As well as the lights and the Christmas market, the evening will also include some live festive music at 7pm and a supply of mulled wine, mulled cider and festive soft drinks.

All students and staff also have the chance to claim a complimentary drink by registering for the event, printing off the ticket and exchanging it on the day at one of the drink outlets. Complimentary drink offers are limited and restricted to one per person. Tickets will be scanned in exchange for each drink.
