Reading Time: < 1 minute

Counting newts in the Valley Garden, litter picking in Bevois Valley or encouraging your friends to switch off? This year we are launching a new set of awards with the University to celebrate students who demonstrate leadership in sustainability.

We want to honour the work that you are doing around the University and in your local communities.

You have until 28 February to nominate yourself or your friends in the following three categories:

Outstanding individual student contribution to sustainability

Outstanding sustainability performance by a group of students

Outstanding sustainability performance by a partnership between staff and students

The awards will be presented at a ceremony with staff and students on the afternoon of 26 March and the winners will gain University-wide recognition.

Entering is simple. The instructions and application form can be found here.

A University panel of staff and student judges will decide the winners.

These awards are supported by the University’s Carbon Management Fund – a £1m a year investment in ideas that will reduce the institution’s carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of our campuses.

Good luck and we look forward to receiving your applications!
