From 7 – 9 April, Newcastle University will play host to the National Student Radio (NSR) Conference 2014. Each year the conference is hosted by a different participating university’s radio station and NSR has seen the number of student broadcasters increasing year after year. This exciting three-day excursion is open to student broadcasters and presenters at the University of Southampton to hear from industry professionals and widen

their broadcasting experience. Speakers last year included representatives from the BBC, Bauer, Folded Wing, Orion Media and Global Radio to name but a few, so the conference is guaranteed to provide a unique and

valuable experience for all aspiring broadcasters. Keynote speakers include Rhys Hughes (Head of Programmes for BBC Radio 1), Chris Smith (BBC Radio 1) and James Rea (Global Radio) amongst many others at the forefront

of radio.
