Reading Time: < 1 minute

Fancy setting up your own business after university, but unsure where to start? Well you’re in luck, because an educational course in enterprise is now accepting applications. The course which will take place at Totton College in Southampton is called Enterprise4Totton and aims to provide the skills needed to start a business.

Covering content from the OCNRL Level 2 Certificate in First Steps to Enterprise, the programme will cover mandatory units in legal aspects of trading, financial considerations, understanding how to sell products, and assessing your capacity to start up and run a new business. Other optional units are available covering topics from coming up with a business idea, to understanding the impact of welfare benefits on a start-up business. As well as providing useful guidance and support in running a successful business, the programme also provides a formal qualification.

The course will take place on Wednesdays to Fridays, from 4 June until 11 July 2014. An initial assessment and induction will take place on 23 May from 10am until 4pm. To book a slot on the programme, or to find out more information, call the Projects team on 02380 427 361 or 02380 427 353.
