What happens after university?
The Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education, or DHLE, is a survey carried out yearly by universities to find out what their alumni have gone on to do after graduating.
The survey looks at both employment circumstances and details of further study of university leavers. All of the information students provide to the University as part of the survey will be used anonymously. This information is then made available on the internet for future applicants and current students as it may be useful to see where their degrees have taken students in the past, and the types of opportunities available for graduates once they have completed their studies. The information is also used to work out the percentages of students who are able to find jobs straight after graduating so that the University can develop and improve their Careers department.
As the DHLE Survey is a valuable resource for both current and future students, it is important to keep it relevant and up-to-date. The survey will become available to those who are graduating between 1 August 2014 and 31 December 2014. To take part in the survey, please visit this webpage and scroll down to ‘Completing the Survey’, after which you will have to follow the link to the DHLE website when it becomes available. By completing the survey online, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win £100 worth of Amazon vouchers! So please remember to take part – we want to know what amazing things our alumni are going on to do after graduating from the University of Southampton!
