Your Skills Your Success
Your Skills sessions are free courses that are open to all students who want to develop themselves. There are a wide range of sessions from health and safety, to CV writing, to decision making! The development courses all occur during term time and can be booked in advanced through www.susu.org/yourskills
The Time Management Your Skill course that occurred on the 14th October was a fantastic success! As extra chairs were needed for the bigger than expected turnout, the atmosphere was buzzing and the conversation was flowing. The feedback of the course that was taken by our Vice President Democracy and Creative Industries (VP DCI), Megan Downing and SUSU Core staff Member, Karik, was extremely positive and we hope to ensure that even more students take advantage of these free and useful courses.
The ‘Getting it Done’ training sessions aimed helping students understand what time management entails and ensuring that participants feel confident in their ability to manage their own time – a skill that is needed in every aspect of your life! The training sessions was interactive and there were different social activities which also gave everyone who attended a chance to network.
This is just some of the great feedback Your Skills session has recieved:
“Great workshop”
“Good mixture of activities & delivery of concepts”
“Really helpful to have more practical ideas”
“I will definitely use the new ideas for managing my time”
“Really liked focusing on the goals for the next 2 weeks and then the semester as a whole”
