Reading Time: < 1 minute

Following the success of Wellbeing Week last May, amongst other events and conferences to promote mental and physical Wellbeing, SUSU is holding its annual Wellbeing Day on November 4 from 10am – 4pm. In this joint venture between the voluntary taskforce of the University and the Students’ Union, there will be a range of talks and workshops offered with the aim of promoting better understanding of mental health and wellbeing. The workshops will include everything from relaxation and meditation techniques to arts and crafts, and there will be talks and activities for you to pop into throughout the day. The two talks are ‘The Science Behind Wellbeing’ and a keynote speech given by Sarah Wheeler. You can book your place for the keynote event here as there is reserved seating.

In addition to this, SUSU Nightline and Peer Support will be holding a drop in session in the Pod (Building 42) from 11am – 4pm and there will be a Volunteer Opportunities showcase in the Concourse from 11am – 4pm, the Jubilee Sports Centre is going to offer a free day of sport and wellbeing membership to use their facilities also. If you’re still not convinced, there will also be a 10% discount on certain healthy food options across all SUSU outlets, so come along! – this lively and popular campus event is not one to be missed.
