SUSU supports Children in Need

In General

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The University of Southampton Students’ Union is proud to support Children in Need this year with a fundraising day on campus. Last year when SUSU  participated in the national fundraising effort, they raised just over £1018.27: a total which we hope to exceed this year.

On 5 November the event will kick off at 10am on the Redbrick with Surge’s DJs presenting a special Children in Need-themed show from their usual iconic blue tent. The DJs will be coming up with some challenges to encourage students and staff of the Union to make donations and raise awareness for the charity. Throughout the day there will also be a variety of fundraising opportunities, such Gladiator Jousting, a cake sale, Zumba flash mob (led by Pudsey Bear himself) and the Sabbs’ sponsored leg waxing.

The students will also have the opportunity to meet Pudsey as he will be on campus all day! So come along to the Concourse and Redbrick from 10 – 4pm to show your support with your fellow students and make a donation to this very worthwhile charitable event. If you can’t make it but want to donate online, click here to be redirected to the Children in Need website.
