Make Your Voice Heard: The Student Barometer

In General

Reading Time: < 1 minute

How well do you think the University of Southampton teaches you and supports your education? Maybe there’s things that you love, or maybe you’ve got ideas on where there’s room to improve.

The Student Barometer is your chance to let the University know what its students really think – which areas need focus, or could be better with a little investment.

Previous changes have included time and funding being put into the quiet study space in the Hartley Library – for those stressing over workloads or ever-looming deadlines, we know that’s an invaluable improvement. This followed on from positive comments made on the changes to library opening times and learning spaces: the system really works. Another stellar example is the action taken after feedback that students needed better IT support: MySouthampton, the mobile app, was updated, student mailboxes were increased to twice the size, and Wi-Fi networks were expanded across all our campuses.

Getting involved is easy. The survey goes live today, so keep an eye out for an email in your student inbox from i-graduate, an independent research company – this is your invitation to take the survey, containing your unique URL. Not only does getting on board with the Barometer give you the chance to feedback your opinions on the University – you’ll also be entered into a draw to win £1,000. Amazing.
