Diversity, Celebration and Understanding: Interfaith Week
We’re very excited to announce that the University are holding Inter Faith Week next week – 16th – 23rd November – on campus to celebrate the different faiths in our student body and increase awareness and understanding of these diverse cultures. Here’s a round-up of the upcoming events.
Atheist Society
Monday 17th November | 7.30pm | Nuffield Theatre, Lecture Theatre B
Local humanist celebrant, Kate Domaille, will deliver a talk on ceremonies within humanism, and what her job as a celebrant entails.
Conversations for the Soul
Tuesday 18th November | 7.30pm | University Chaplaincy
Can you grow as a person? Informal Inter Faith groups will be discussing this during this session.
Arabic Calligraphy
Wednesday 19th November | Daytime | Avenue Campus North Corridor (Morning) and SUSU Concourse (Afternoon)
Find the calligrapher, and get your name written in Arabic.
Mitzvah Day Bake Sale
Wednesday 19th November | Daytime | SUSU Concourse
An event run by JSoc – all proceeds will be donated to charity.
Soup for Charity
Thursday 20th November | Daytime | SUSU Building
This time it’s CathSoc providing the food – also in the name of charity.
Prayer Bead Workshop
Friday 21st November | 6pm | Tizard Building, Room 3019
