Today the SUSU Facebook page hit 20,000 likes. Since Freshers week this represents over 1,000 new likes on the page, which is developing into not just a source of information but also a source of entertainment with initiatives such as the #SUSUHumans campaign.

Usually, about four posts are scheduled for the page every day. The page is also used when information needs to reach students quickly. 20,000 likes is an encouraging sign that communications at SUSU are becoming more immediate and further reaching than ever before.

As engagement with the page grows, more content is being produced purely for entertainment, rather than requiring students to do something, marking a shift from being a purely informative page to one that brings fun to students’ Facebook News Feed.
