Are you looking to improve your IT skills, regardless of what course you do? The Lynda Learning hub is provided by the University of Southampton to help you do just that for free! Not only is it a great way to improve your own technical skills, but is a great resource if you’re stuck on a piece of coursework, or if you want to stand out from the crowd on your CV or at an internship/job. Plus it’s really easy. All you have to do is login with your University username and password at http://go.soton.ac.uk/lynda

Lynda.com hosts an astounding number of videos that vary greatly in length and detail, developing everything from your skills on Microsoft Word to your understanding of Facebook privacy settings to your skills in digital marketing.

There’s a huge library that you can browse through and find what you’re interested in. Audio & Music, Business, CAD, and photography are available alongside many more topics. The videos are professionally produced and are easy to follow with tutorials, exercise files, and a space for you to take notes. Whilst some videos last an hour or more, there are 10 minute tips available if you’re short on time, or are looking for some guilt-free procrastinating!
