Reading Time: < 1 minute

After the huge success of our International Women’s Week events last week, we have even more incredible events coming up over the next few days.

Today (Monday 16 March) we have a Successful Women Panel Discussion, which will happen at 17.00 in Bar 2. The panelists for this are: Claire Gott MBE (Southampton Alumni, Engineer and founder of charity Cameroon Catalyst
), Lynne Parker (CEO of Funny Women, helping women who write and perform comedy
) and Kristen Lee (Athlete and sports coach from London Rollergirls Roller Derby).

Tuesday 17 March will host ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’ and on March 18 there will be a lecture on Women in the Arts.

And on 19 March FemSoc will be holding a meeting for anybody who wants to get involved (regardless of whether you’re a regular member or you’ve never been before!) at 19.00 in L/T B Nuffield Theatre. On 19 March there’ll also be a SwapShop from 12.00-14.00 in The Cube (there’s more information about that in this event: https://www.facebook.com/events/351039818433284/)

Speaking about IWW week, Equality and Diversity officer Sam Bailey said:

“It’s really exciting that we’ve got so many different events organised with FemSoc and International Women in Business to celebrate International Women’s Week. The aim is to not only celebrate women’s achievements around the world, but to inspire women to become leaders in the future.”

He reminded us that you can also get involved, even if you don’t attend the events saying: “We’ll be tweeting throughout the week with posters of inspiring women that you’ve chosen – you can add someone you find inspiring using #inspiringwomensoton”.

For more information you can check out the Facebook event for the week.
