Coming up: BEES Conference
Reading Time: < 1 minute
We’re excited to announce that we’re holding a conference for BEES volunteers, staff and businesses on campus, on April 28th. The conference will focus on ‘Students and Businesses Transforming Their City’, and will be free for all attendees.
The conference will inspire and equip staff, students and businesses to deliver sustainability projects and solutions. The time will be used to explore how universities and students’ unions can work together to achieve sustainability, and what results teamwork like this can produce.
So why attend?
- The conference will give universities and students’ unions a chance to discuss collaboration, develop new ideas and learn more about how local businesses and the community work towards sustainability.
- Student attendees can learn more about how to make a difference and get involved.
- Businesses and organisations will get time to network with other businesses and volunteers, as well as talking to organisations that can support them and their solutions.
The plan for the day includes a keynote speech and Q&A with Jamie Agombar from NUS, a choice of BEES breakout sessions, and a networking drinks reception to end the day.
While the conference is free to attend, you must reserve your place here. The first 25 students to register who require travel from outside Southampton can apply for for a subsidy during registration.
