Celebrating International Cultures
This Friday, from 7pm, the International Cultural Night will be taking place at Turner Sims. At this yearly event, a host of SUSU’s international societies will be performing in a variety of ways to celebrate their own cultures. Each society will be given a ten-minute slot to perform in, but beyond the time constraints they’re completely free to fill the ten minutes with whatever they like, so there’ll be singing, acting, dancing and everything else in between.
Each performance will be judged, and at the end of the night the best three societies will be rewarded. And for the first time ever there’ll be the ‘International Society Awards’ where different societies, as well as their committee members, will be awarded for the wonderful events hosted by them throughout the year.
Tickets cost £2 and are available from the Turner Sims Box Office, and if you get peckish there will be refreshments in the form of pizza in the interval.
