In General

Reading Time: < 1 minute

We don’t mean to brag, but all of our students here at Southampton are pretty amazing. With all the incredible work that goes on by our students across the board, be it in the arts, media, sports, academic pursuits and everything else inbetween. Our Rifle Club are national champions for the sixth year in a row and SUSUtv, our student run television station, won a national award for their take on Top Gear; but today, we have another story of success that you might not know about.

One of our students here, Lijia Xu, has also found time to win an Olympic gold medal alongside her studies! She represented China in the 2012 Olympics, placing first in the Women’s Laser Radial Medal Race. Lijia is a current pre-masters student studying in the faculty of Humanities and will be joining the Business School in September 2015 as an MSc International Management student.

Huge congratulations to Lijia, and we wish her all the best in her future studies.
