The Summer break may be here for a lot of us, but that doesn’t mean that everyone has left Southampton. We now have lots of Pre-Sessional students here to enjoy the university and the Students’ Union. With that in mind, we still have lots of activities going on!

So far we have had some great events, including  trips to various sites around the country, halls nights and free sports at Jubilee gym, and we still have more to come!

If you feel like taking part in something active, there is a chance to play basketball every Sunday night in Jubilee Sports Centre. If basketball isn’t your sport, there is also tennis at Avenue Campus, as well as badminton and table tennis in Jubilee and indoor football in the old sports hall.

Various trips are also taking place, including visits to the Isle of Wight and Portsmouth. These events are always very popular so make sure you get your ticket as early as possible! To help you get a feel of the city, there are also regular tours of Southampton.

If you want to stick around on campus, then there are all sorts of facilities open, such as The Bridge restaurant during lunchtimes and The Stags Head if you fancy a drink in the evenings. There is also campus photo treasure hunts taking place as well as drop in sessions for students who may be worried or need advice.

So just because a lot of students may have left, there is still plenty to do, so make sure you get involved with something that is on offer, and to view the full range of what is on offer simply visit the Union’s official site!
