SURecruit Launches Today
After months of planning and getting everything ready, the Union’s very own job hunting service SURecruit is launching today!
Students have been asking us to help them to find part-time work, so that is exactly what we have done! So meet SURecruit, your very own recruitment agency. Located next to The Bridge in the Students’ Union, the agency has set up a website and established great links with local employers to help you find a job whilst you study at university. How it works is quite simple, you show SURecruit that you are interested by going to their website, give them a few details and they will help to find you a part time job!
For many students, having a part time job is a good way of earning a bit of extra money alongside studying for their degree. It also provides that all important work experience that so many employers and grad schemes will love, and will make you even more employable when you graduate from Southampton. Not only that, for some students, a part time job can bring a welcome relief from studying, particularly if the job has benefits such as a free meal with your shift.
The Union itself is also a huge employer of part time staff, with over 300 people taking on roles, such as working at The Bridge or The Stag’s. Keep an eye on the jobs section of our website for more information about when these become available.
