This week at Union Films

In General

Reading Time: 2 minutes

There’s always so much going on within SUSU; be it societies, sports or events, and one thing that we’re particularly proud to boast is our student-run union cinema, Union Films. If you haven’t already taken a trip down to our very own silver screen, what are you waiting for?! With ticket prices a steal at £3 per person (£4 for 3D!) and a huge array of the latest blockbusters, it’s a definite must visit on the Southampton Uni bucket list.

This week they’re showing a host of indie and blockbuster films.

On Tuesday you can enter the world of Marvel with Fantastic Four which will show at 7pm, and if you can’t get enough of the comic book universe there’s Ant-Man showing at 7pm on Thursday.

This Friday sees the return of one of Union Film’s most popular events: The Halloween All-Nighter. From 7pm-7am they’ll be showing some of the most horrifying films ever released, so come along, if you dare.

If horror isn’t your scene, then fear not, on Sunday Union Films will be showing Max at at 5pm and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation at 8pm.

And don’t forget there’s also the weekly The Phoenix film viewing. The Phoenix is Southampton’s most established film society, and each week they select a fantastic contemporary film from anywhere around the world. This week they’ll be showing the romantic drama Far from the Madding Crowd (1967), featuring Julie Christie.

All tickets are available to buy from the SUSU box office, either online or at SUSU reception. Popular films do sell out, so make sure you buy a ticket to avoid disappointment!

You can check out the full listings of Union Film’s Autumn lineup online, to see what else they have coming up.
