In General

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Here at the Union we’re in the midst of Black History Month. This is a time to recognise and celebrate the important contributions that people of African, Arab, Asian and Caribbean heritage make to humanity – raising awareness of different cultures and communities.

Throughout the month we’ve been celebrating through a series of events, collaborating with student groups. These events and activities are open to anyone, so please come along and join in with our celebrations!

Following on from the showing of 42, the film that tells the story of Jackie Robinson (who was the first modern African American player in the baseball Major League), tonight we have the Caribbean Culture Night which will be held in The Bridge from 7pm-11pm.

Entry is free, so there’s no excuse not to come and join us!
