Last Wednesday was a great night, with lots of people gathering in The Bridge to find out the anticipated results of the Halls Committee elections. There is a full run down of who was successful in which positions here, and congratulations to everyone involved! https://www.susu.org/elections/2015/halls-committee-candidates.

There were some positions which had no nominations so If you were thinking about standing but you didn’t get a chance, we are holding by-elections.

So, what is a by-election?

The by-election is a really simple process, what it means, that instead of the whole halls population voting on candidates, the Halls Committee Board vote instead.

What do you have to do?

It’s simple, prepare a 1 minute speech and come along to the Halls Committee Board meeting on Thursday 26th November at 7pm in The Board Room, Building 42. You’ve got a minute to win it, then the committee will vote.

Here are the positions which are still available-

Bencraft- Communities Officer

Chamberlain- Secretary, Communities Officer, Fundraising & Volunteering Officer, Sports Officer

Connaught- Fundraising & Volunteering

Erasmus Park- Communities Officer, Events & Activities Officer, Sport Officer

Gateway- Fundraising & Volunteering

Glen Eyre– Communities Officer, Welfare & Campaigns Officer, Fundraising & Volunteering Officer

Highfield- Secretary, Communities Officer, Welfare & Campaigns Officer, Events & Activities Officer, Sport Officer

Monte- President, Communities Officer, Fundraising & Volunteering Officer, Sport Officer
