Societies
We have many different language and culture societies, who regularly meet up to speak the language and immerse themselves in culture. You can find out what we have on offer here.
Southampton Language Exchange
Set up by two postgraduates, the language exchange meets every Tuesday in The Bridge, welcoming students from all over the world to talk and share their language and culture. Keep up-to-date with the next event by liking the Facebook page.
Apps
There are many free apps that you can download to help you learn vocabulary on the move. Duolingo, Memrise, MindSnacks and Busuu are all highly-rated apps that work by encouraging you to either repeat phrases, play games or connect with other users to help the words stick!
Lessons
Did you know that you can learn a modern language at the University via evening classes as part of the Lifelong Learning department? University staff and students are eligible to get a discount, but classes book up quickly so take a look early to avoid disappointment. Find out more here.
