Freshers’ 2016 is approaching and with performances from Sigma, Becky Hill, a Chris Stark DJ set and much, much more – the fortnight is set to be HUGE! As you may have noticed, we have been getting a little overexcited for you to come and join us in Southampton and Winchester. We’ve been busy packing Freshers’ bags so you have loads of freebies to look forward to at our Union Fayre on Monday 26 September just after you arrive, as well as making sure everything is in place to ensure you have the best introduction to student life. But we wanted to clarify exactly what we are offering as part of your Halls Freshers’ programme.

You may already know this, but we organise the University Halls of Residences into 12 Halls Committees, led by elected students, who do everything to help you settle in from showing you where to do your laundry to taking you for nights out in the city. If you’re not in Halls, we also have our Private Rented Halls Committee, which includes every Fresher who is privately renting, or that doesn’t fit into our other Halls categories. That means that everyone can join in.
