The long wait is over, the grades are in, the hard work has paid off… and you’ve secured your place at university – congratulations!

As a student at the University of Southampton, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union. We’re run by students for students and are here to make sure that you have the best possible experience.

We’ve got lots of things planned to make sure that you have a fantastic Freshers’ Week (which is in fact 3 weeks!) and settle into your new student life. With a whole range of exciting daytime and night-time events and activities, we’re sure that there is something for everyone.

Keep your eyes peeled on our social media to find out about our Freshers’ Master Pass and Variety Pass, including act announcements. You can find our channels below. Passes and tickets will be available to buy from our Box Office tomorrow. You can also sign up to Union updates here.

With an incredible 300+ clubs and societies, cinema, plenty of food and drink outlets and more, there are loads of opportunities for you to get involved and try new things. We also have an Advice Centre which offers free, independent, confidential advice, so you can rest assured that we’ll have your back throughout your time here.
