Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, Bloc Party has been cancelled this evening.

We want to make up for this, so anyone who has bought a Party Pass wristband or individual Bloc Party wristband can claim £10 in Vouchers to use in The Stag’s giving you £5 extra value. They can be used on anything, including any drink, and any food item. They will be issued as 4 x £2.50, so you can use them all at once, or spread them out!

Before the Christmas holidays, we received a You Make Change submission regarding breastfeeding facilities across our campuses – specifically Highfield. Did you know rock royalty once took to the stage at the University of Southampton Students’ Union? 45 years ago, Led Zeppelin performed in Garden Court and we are celebrating this anniversary with a brilliant Charity Showcase!

Led Zeppelin performed a one-off gig at the Union in 1973 especially to gain an audible recording and footage of a live performance – Garden Court has some particularly good acoustics! Their main tour date in Southampton was at the Gaumont Theatre (now the Mayflower Theatre).

Throughout December 2017 we ran our annual Shoe Box Appeal in association with our Homed society. We received a fantastic 53 boxes of essential items, toiletries and gifts, which were donated to Two Saints Day Centre, an organisation who support the homeless in Southampton.
