Reading Time: 2 minutes

SUSUtv will be broadcasting live for six hours as part of ‘Big Live’, a 24-hour live stream fundraising event on Friday 30 November 2018.

KTV (Kent Union’s student TV station) are hosting a 24-hour live stream for the charity ‘Books 2 Africa‘, which was set up by University of Kent Alumni. KTV are collaborating with Forge TV at the University of Sheffield, and our very own SUSUtv!

The full live stream of Big Live will run from the afternoon of Friday 30 November to the afternoon of the Saturday 01 December. SUSUtv will be broadcasting for a six hour slot from 18:00 to midnight on 30 November. There will be various segments of entertainment, including a “Sounds of SUSU” live music session in collaboration with Surge.

Ben McQuigg, Station Manager of SUSUtv, says: “Student television is all about collaboration and it’s one of the reasons I have grown to love it so much over my time at university. Getting the opportunity to work with two other stations from completely different parts of the country is so exciting. The fact it’s for such a great charity makes it even more exciting and we just can’t wait to join forces with everyone involved to create awareness, raise as much money as possible and most important just have a good time!”

Good luck SUSUtv! The live stream will be broadcast on KTV’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, and will also be shared on SUSUtv’s Facebook page.
