Academic Elections: Voting Now Open!

In News

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Voting in our Academic Elections is now open until Friday 20 March at 16:00! This is your chance to say who should be our next VP Education and Democracy, Arts and Humanities Faculty Officer, and Environment and Life Sciences Faculty Officer.

VOTE HERE

Make sure you take a look at all the candidates’ key points and why they think you should vote for them here: Academic Elections Candidates.

Wondering why you should vote? Here’s a few reasons…

  • Whoever wins represents you – yes, you! Our Sabbatical and Faculty Officers are here to represent all students at Southampton.
  • Candidate key points often go from idea to reality – so make sure you’re voting for ideas you agree with. Read candidate manifestos here: Academic Elections Candidates.
  • Every single vote counts and can make a huge difference – last year a Sabbatical role was won with just ONE vote.
  • Voting wasn’t always available to everyone in society in the UK, and still isn’t available to many people across the world. Whenever you get a chance to vote on something it’s important to make your voice heard.

Remember, there are only two days to vote, so make sure you have your say!
