Canoe Club Raise £1,000 for Southampton Samaritans and Rennie Grove Hospice Care
Southampton University Canoe Club (SUCC) have raised £905.00 (increasing to £1,038 with Gift Aid) for Southampton Samaritans and Rennie Grove Hospice Care – huge well done to everyone involved!
To encourage donations 66 members of SUCC walked, ran or cycled a collective distance of over 5,000km in 2 weeks – over three times their original target distance! The original target of 1661km is the distance to Glen Etive and back, where the team would have been heading for a week long trip until it was cancelled due to Coronavirus.
On their post announcing their success, the club said: “After two weeks, the SUCC charity fundraiser is over! Massive thanks and well done to everyone who walked, ran, cycled or donated… you smashed it!”
Their donation page is still open if you’d like to donate: SUCC are walking, running and cycling 1661km.
