Introducing… RAG – Raising And Giving
If charity fund-raising and making a difference is your thing, or perhaps just doing good while having fun and meeting new people interests you, RAG is definitely the society for you.
What is your society, what do you do and who is involved?
RAG is the universities leading fundraising society where each year we raise money for our nominated international, national, and local charities. This year they are A21, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Robbie’s Rehab. RAG is full of enthusiastic, passionate, fun, and thoughtful people who always have your back! Anyone can join our family and become one of our volunteers who help organise, run, and fundraise in all of our events and campaigns!
When did your society form?
At least the 1920s!
What makes you different to other societies?
We have free membership so even if you turn up to one event you are a part of our RAG family. We don’t do one single thing. We organise high caliber and small events from Fight Night to Speed Dating. We also donate boxes full of goods to homeless people at Christmas, whilst offering the opportunity for any student to go away on one of our adventures
How would you describe a social/workshop/meeting with your society?
Fun, informative, friendly, warm, opportunistic
Who should join?
Any one who wants to raise money/ go on adventures.
How can new students find you?
Via our social media and these upcoming adventures!
