Based in the city centre, Cafe Thrive is a vegan cafe serving healthy fast food and plant based alternatives to milkshakes, desserts, burgers and more! With a great vibe and excellent food, this is a must try!
Sunsets on The Common
Check what time the sun is setting and head to the Common when the sun is setting to see a stunning sunset over the lake and ponds. For beautiful photos or just a moment of peace, this really isn’t something to be missed.
Crossing over the bridge on Thomas Lewis Way, you can head down to Riverside Park for a picnic, a game or just to take in the view. Excellent in the summer for sunbathing and a game of rounders.
Lakaz Maman was started by winner of Masterchef Shelina Permalloo, and is the home of comforting and interesting Mauritian food. A varied menu using fresh produce all tucked into a gorgeous little restaurant in Bedford Place. Great for a first date or great value dinner.
SUSU’s Bouldering Wall
Did you know SUSU has it’s very own bouldering wall? It does! A great place to work out, try something new and get involved with the societies that use it. You can find the bouldering wall in Building 42.
Pho Vietnam in Portswood is the home of excellent Vietnamese Pho, a broth made from meat and vegetables with noodles. A gorgeous mix of spices and meat and vegetables, it’s the perfect dish for warming up, getting cozy or trying something new. Well priced and also on Deliveroo, make sure to check it out!
Muse Coffee Shop, Portswood
This gorgeous new coffee shop opened just as Lockdown ended. Filled with stunning faux flowers, shabby-chic decor and excellent coffee, cakes, milkshakes and juices. For a nice place to work, grab coffee with a friend and chill; Muse is a lovely new spot.
