Our Athletics and Cross Country Club (ACCC) recently applied to Sport England for a grant of £3,561 – we are thrilled to report this application was successful!

The funding will be used for new indoor high jump mats and an indoor shot put throwing circle platform.

Jon Pairman, President of ACCC, says: “This equipment is essential for athletics training during the winter and when the weather is poor. Alex Teuten, a member of the University of Southampton Students’ Union Athletics and Cross-Country Club and PhD Chemistry student, recently placed second in the European Cross Country Trials and has therefore qualified to join Team GB! We met with Alex to find out more about his fantastic achievement and what the future holds.
