Awards Ceremonies update

In General

Thank you to everyone who nominated someone deserving for one of our awards.

We received a total of 181 nominations for our Excellence in Volunteering Awards (EVAs), which have been carefully whittled down to a shortlist of 66 entries.

You can view the shortlist of EVAs nominees here.

The EVAs are taking place on 6th May in The Cube. Find out more by joining the Facebook event.

In the sporting world, we’re also excited to confirm that this year’s AU Ball will be appropriately headlined by sporting star and England rugby icon turned DJ, James Haskell.

Society Spotlight Interview: Tennis Club

We’re always hearing about how great the Southampton University Tennis Club is, so we interviewed the club’s Sponsorship Officer, Jack Harvey, to find out what all the racquet is about and why it’s so ace to be a member!

We’ve got around 100 members.

A huge Varsity victory for #TeamSoton

It maybe Monday morning, but it’s time to celebrate as yesterday saw another victory for Team Southampton over in Portsmouth in our annual Varsity competition. #MySUSU: VP Sports Development Success!

Over the past year, there have been a host of positive changes within the Sports Development zone. The purpose of the Sports Development zone is to enable our members to enjoy sport and unlock the potential of every one of our athletes here at Southampton. Athletic Union Awards – The Winners

Friday 19th April saw the SUSU Athletic Union celebrating another outstanding year at their annual Awards Ball.

For the second year in a row the event was held at the home of premier league Southampton FC at St. Mary’s Stadium, where almost 700 AU members attended to celebrate the hard work, dedication and success of their clubs and team mates. A formal three course meal was followed by the awards ceremony and an after party headlined by UK DJ and producer Jakwob.
