Glen Eyre held The Big Summer Farewell on Friday afternoon, and what an afternoon it turned out to be! With free ice-cream and burgers, inflatables, competitive games, live music and a photo booth, there was plenty to make our way around. Best of all, the sun decided to join the party, encouraging everyone to embrace the start of summer. • 19.00-21.00
• Meet at Highfield Interchange (the main bus stop on campus) and we will walk to Sprinkles together.

Wednesday 03 August – Badminton and Basketball

• 17:00 – 20:00
• Meet us at Avenue Campus and we will walk to Richard Taunton College Sports Hall together.

The summer term kicks off tomorrow – but it’s not officially summer until you’ve had a BBQ!

That’s right: the annual WSA End of Term BBQ is back on 02 June.

Today will see the perfect casual event to round off a year of hard work at our Winchester site – the WSA Cafe will be holding a Summer BBQ, open to all students, from 4.30pm onwards.

Your ticket will get you a choice from the fab barbecue, which will include vegetarian and gluten-free options, so there’s something for everyone. Hot on the heels of their incredible 3D films week, Union Films’ outdoor screen returns this weekend with a chance to see Robert Downey Jr take on the formidable Mandarin terrorist group in Iron Man 3 for free!

Once the sun has set, they’ll be showing the film, from 8:30, using their new digital projector and surround sound set up on the grass outside SUSU. Surge Radio will be there throughout the afternoon playing music while Union Films will be selling drinks and refreshments from their bar. There will even be a BBQ set up!
