Over the summer we have been taking a look at what matters most to us as a students’ union. What do we want to achieve? What should our purpose be? How does all of this impact on students? We’ve spoken to staff, students, and the University, and run polls, questionnaires and focus groups.
We’re excited to now introduce to you our new strategy, brand, vision and values, and how all of this puts us in a much better position to represent students and deliver on our vision: for every student to love their time at Southampton.
We’re always working to improve your student experience, that’s why we’ve made a few changes to some of our outlets over the summer…
American Coffee Shop, Bar Three
Looking for the ultimate barista experience? Look no further than our brand new American style coffee shop, Bar Three, which is now open! We won’t just be serving hot drinks either – we’ll be selling iced coffees in a multitude of flavours, as well as iced, slushy cocktails, milkshakes and refreshing fruit smoothies too.

Last October you voted and told us that you wanted the Union Southampton brand with the ‘SUSU’ name. Since then, we have been working hard and have developed a series of brand new logos which combine our current identity and the SUSU name.

We have been rolling out our new brand identity this week across our campuses.
We started by changing the buildings’ external signs, before heading out on a roadshow to WSA and Avenue to showcase the new brand and give you a chance to ask us any questions.

BRAND LAUNCH AT THE UNION, WINCHESTER

Since December we have been working on a review and now a rebrand of SUSU.
It’s been quite a journey! We’ve completed surveys and workshops involving both staff members and yourselves and we’ve made visits to Holdens’ branding agency in Manchester to discuss some interesting concepts discussed along the way.

It’s official: we’ve moved from a brand review to a full-on rebrand. It probably feels like we started this journey a lifetime ago, but we’re finally on the home stretch to revealing the new look of your Students’ Union, and trust us – it’s much better than the ‘brand’ we unveiled for April Fools’!
