The Army are at Avenue Campus Car Park right now with a host of interactive games and challenges to give you a chance to experience life in the Army.
Until 5pm, you can jump out of a plane with the Paras and command a Challenger 2 tank, in virtual reality. Run the Sandhurst obstacle course in a full-body Oculus Rift experience. We are launching our very own on-site recruitment agency, SURecruit, to help students find part-time work while they study.
The agency, set to be launched this Freshers’, will work with local employers to find opportunities for students in areas such as hospitality, leisure and care.
Located in the Students’ Union by The Bridge, the agency has been founded in partnership with the University of Southampton’s Careers Destinations Team. Each student will be offered support with the aim of finding suitable work opportunities according to their individual skills and interests.

The wonderful team at Southampton Student Minds have been hard at work, and have managed to secure funding to run a Positive Minds course at the university.
The Positive Minds course gives support to students that are suffering from depression and low mood, and is a peer-to-peer run scheme, meaning its run by students for students.
