As we near Christmas, a huge culture and religious festival in the UK and across the world, we take a look at some of the events taking place around Southampton to celebrate this, both religious events but also events for non-religious people.

Coming up there is the Heart of Christmas celebration, organised by African Caribbean Christian Fellowship Group, taking place at Cantell School on Saturday 5th December. Calling all students! Can you tell us why you #LoveSouthampton?

Southampton has over 36,000 students living and studying in the city, (there’s around 23,000 enrolled at the University of Southampton alone!) each with their own special reasons why they #LoveSouthampton. The University is creating a campaign that will capture and celebrate our students’ positive experiences of the city and all the delights it has to offer and share these stories with prospective students within the region, the rest of the UK and overseas.
