Freshers’: World at Southampton and Winchester

In General

Over 1/3 of University of Southampton students are international, so we’re celebrating our cultural diversity with World at Southampton and Winchester!

World at Southampton and World at Winchester are events organised to showcase the wide range of cultures we have at the university. There will be craft stands, games and all sorts of wonderful cultural things, including lots of international music. And because these events are free, there is no need to buy any tickets or pre-register, simply turn up and have fun!

Elections Spotlight: Sports Officers

With the nominations deadline almost upon us time is running out if you want to be involved in shaping the future of your Union.

The Athletic Union, also known as the AU, is comprised of 75 sports clubs and over 4500 members making it one of the largest AUs in the country. Having such an impact on the sporting scene requires a dedicated and talented team and that’s where you all have a role to play.

Diversity, Celebration and Understanding: Interfaith Week

We’re very excited to announce that the University are holding Inter Faith Week next week – 16th – 23rd November – on campus to celebrate the different faiths in our student body and increase awareness and understanding of these diverse cultures. Here’s a round-up of the upcoming events.

Atheist Society

Local humanist celebrant, Kate Domaille, will deliver a talk on ceremonies within humanism, and what her job as a celebrant entails.
