Freshers’ Week kicks off with our Welcome Festivals (Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September, £12 per night), featuring Chris Stark from BBC Radio 1 Adrian Murphy and Retrojam. This is the perfect chance to party with your new flatmates and say one HUGE hello to thousands of Freshers’!

The Union was transformed into ‘a night under the stars’ for Grad Ball 2018, complete with a glowing moon to greet you, along with our famous Grad Ball letters for that perfect photo opportunity! Don’t miss the most glamorous night of the year, which will be held right in the heart of campus at the Students’ Union.

We are excited to reveal that we will be joined by Patrick Nazemi, Drop Division and Radio 1’s Scott Mills for a fantastic night of live music in The Cube, along with plenty of seasonal entertainment around the Union, including:
Silent Disco in The North Pole Bridge
Mulled wine and cider in the forests of Building 42 Bavaria
BBQ and surf simulator in the tropics of Hawaii Bar 2
Last Friday saw our annual Athletic Union Ball, complete with a full awards ceremony celebrating the sporting achievements of Team Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The night was”buzzing”, with students enjoying a three course meal, followed by the awards and an after-party with our resident DJ, Drop Division, who played until the early hours.
Our Vice-President Sports, Tom Provan, gave a speech praising the teams and commented on winning Varsity to lots of woops and cheers.
