This year our Excellence in Volunteering Awards (EVAs) will be held on Friday 10 May 2019 at the Students’ Union. We can’t wait to celebrate the achievements of fantastic student volunteers here at Southampton, but first we need to know who you think should be put forward to receive an award.
If you know someone who has been an incredible volunteer this year, we want to hear about them! They could have volunteered their time for charity, as a member of a sports club or society, supporting the local community, fundraising, or something completely different!
On Friday 11 May we celebrated our Excellence in Volunteering Awards 2018 at the Union. These awards are a chance to say well done and thank you to students who have gone the extra mile with their volunteering efforts this year, whether that’s helping in the community, fundraising or giving up their own time to benefit a society or sports club.
A full list of winners can be found below:
Creative Industries Volunteer of the Year – Max Hayman
Democracy Volunteer of the Year – Thrinayani Ramakrishnan
** NOMINATIONS CLOSE MONDAY 09 APRIL at 09:00 – Simply email email@example.com with the name of the person/society you would like to nominate and for which award, and a short paragraph explaining why you have nominated them.**

The Excellence in Volunteering Awards (EVAs) are swiftly approaching once more, with nominations open across seven categories to acknowledge the successes and dedication of volunteers here at the University of Southampton.
The annual ceremony celebrates the achievements of students, societies and student groups, and one particularly successful group of people (who know a thing or two about the EVAs) are the volunteers at Union Films.
We spoke to volunteer Cinema Manager, third year Music student Soph Isherwood, about what winning at the EVAs has meant to them.
