For just £1 entry, we are offering you the chance to takeover the WSA Cafe for a Poker Night. Your entrance will be collected into a pot for the winning player to take home at the end of the night – so the more of you who come along, the higher the stakes! Monday sees the start of Creative Industries Careers Sessions – a host of events and networking opportunities to help give you a step towards your chosen career in the Creative Industries and we have added more events to the programme!
Are you interested in a career in the Creative Industries? Whether you want to become an artist, writer, actor or you are interested in the technical side of production and behind-the-scenes work, we are here to help.

The Stag’s bar are holding a Winter Beer Festival starting next Monday (23rd November) at 11.30am – Sunday (29th November) to get you in the Christmassy spirit!
There will be 12 craft bottle / can beers from some of the best brewery’s in the UK, along with 12 locally sourced cask ales!
We’re also really excited to see the return of the ever popular funfair and will again be challenging you to stay at Oceana until the bitter end, when we’ll be taking a 4am Survivors Photo!

We’re continuing to use your feedback from our Nightlife Survey to plan the events for this term, and have just released info about our next Friday Night event on 15th February 2013.
Based on your feedback, the capacity for our events is now lower to make sure that you get the best night out possible and as always we’re still going to be bringing you the best value drinks on a Friday night – including our new cocktail “The Cubicle”.
Before Christmas we asked you for your feedback on Friday night events, and have used the results to plan the events for this term.
For our first event of 2013 we’re pleased to bring you a huge end of exams event that will be headlined by Wiley!
From now on we’re going to be bringing you bigger events with bigger acts less often, and we’ll be limiting capacities to make sure that you have a great night. Plus we’ll still be giving you the best value drinks on a Friday.
