General Election: Register to vote

In General

As you may have heard, our Prime Minister has called a Snap General Election, which means the deadline to register to vote is fast approaching.

It’s really important that students have their say, so make sure you register before the following deadlines:

  • Monday 22 May – Deadline to register to vote
  • Tuesday 23 May – Deadline to register for postal or postal proxy vote
  • Wednesday 31 May – Deadline to register for proxy vote
  • Thursday 08 June – Deadline to register to vote on the day or emergency day postal votes

Register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

#LoveSUs – A day to appreciate your SU

Monday was #LoveSUs Day, where people were tweeting in the things that they love about their Students’ Unions across the UK in response to the government’s Higher Education green paper that announced a consultation on increasing the transparency and accountability of students’ unions.
