As the main SUSU Facebook Pagedeterminately marches towards it’s 20,000th Like you would be forgiven for thinking that this arbitrary number is of little consequence to the ‘Grand Scheme’ of things; For it is exactly that, just a number. To us though it is so much more, each number has a story behind it, a personality, hopes & dreams, ups & downs, triumphs & defeats. Nothing shows this in better light than the current #SUSUHumans project our Comms Crew™ have been … Read the rest
You may have already seen the new “Giving You Great Value” board up in the Concourse of the Students’ Union. It features a pie-chart illustrating how your money that you spend in the Union actually makes its way back to you, the students! Unsure how this happens? It all starts with students using SUSU’s facilities, which this year has increased by roughly £150,000 from previous years. The increased activity that we’ve seen this year allowed SUSU to increase funding to student groups by over £22,600 in January, a figure which is set to increase in next year’s budget. The differences … Read the rest

With less than two months to go until Graduation Ball, we thought it would be good to find out a bit more about one of the hottest acts performing at the much-anticipated party; Gorgon City.
The electronic music duo rose to fame with their single ‘Ready For Your Love’ earlier this year, which features up and coming solo artist MNEK. Racking up plenty of radio support, this single shot up the charts, reaching number four, and to date has sold over 300,000 copies. Since then, the two North London producers, Kye ‘Foamo Gibbon and Matt … Read the rest
We’ve been hearing some fantastic comments from you about how much you enjoyed the Graduation Ball, and how it was a brilliant finale to your time at Southampton. However, we know that some of you were specifically looking forward to seeing Example, and that the change in line up may have left you feeling disappointed. To remedy this we are offering a partial reimbursement of £10 to all ticket holders, which is as a result of the reduced costs that we faced due to the last minute change in line up.
Congratulations to the University of Southampton’s Class of 2013!
Last night DJ Fresh, Amelia Lily, and Scott Mills rocked the 2013 Graduation Ball with performances from Pendulum and Stavros Flatley. Scott Mills had a great time and we hope you did too!
