It’s time to kick back, relax with a pint and meet Charles Roffey, President of Real Ale and Cider Society and Treasurer, Josh Upton. With eighty members, the Real Ale and Cider Society endorses local pubs and breweries and samples what they have to offer as well as offering discounts at the best places around Southampton.

How to prepare for exams in January…

In General

So you’ve made it through the first semester and now it boils down to the dreaded January exams. Obviously we know there’s no way to make the revision super fun, but we do have a few tips to help you prepare and (hopefully) feel less stressed!

Start Early

This sort of goes without saying, but start your revision early. Check the dates for each of your exams and prioritise accordingly way in advance. Use all the free time you can during the Christmas break, but of course, do spend time stuffing yourselves with turkey and pudding!

Society Spotlight: Meet Friends of MSF

Friends of MSF is a student society that supports the work of Médecins Sans Frontières . We recently spoke to Tara, the President of the society, to find out more about what it does and how you can get involved.

4 years.

How many members does your group have?

We have 15 committee members and over 250 non-committee members.

How often does the group meet?

We have committee meetings every 2 weeks and 1-2 events per month.
