Voting is now open for our Spring Elections at www.unionsouthampton.org/vote or at one of our physical polling stations across campus.
Midday today saw the start of Voting Week in our Spring Elections, where all current University of Southampton students become eligible to cast their votes for the students that you want to lead our Union for the next academic year. All you need is your Student ID to be able to vote.
The voting period lasts until 16:00 on Friday (03 March).
Join us for the very first Union Senate on Friday (09 December) at 13:00 in Meeting Room 2 (Union , Building 42).

We will be holding an Emergency Union Council meeting on Tuesday 31 May at 19:00 to discuss a motion relating to Thursday’s decision by Democracy Zone Committee as to the date of the referendum on the rebrand.
We held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at The Bridge yesterday (11 May), where you got to openly discuss and vote on the ideas you submitted as part of ‘Change One Thing’.
How did it go?
The AGM was our most successful yet, with a record breaking number of ideas submitted by students (161) and the highest number of student submitted policies (19) than ever before!

You will need to register to vote for the EU Referendum before the 7th June, or by the 18th April, if you are interested in voting in local elections as well. Make sure you have your say and register to vote here.
If you could Change One Thing – about the Students’ Union, University, or even the world – what would it be?
As part of the this year’s Annual General Meeting at the Union, we’ll be asking every student to suggest one thing they’d like to change. It could be big or small – more water fountains in the library, or campaigning for a better system for student loans.
You can submit your idea online when term starts after Easter.

We’ll post all the ideas we’ve received on the website, and everyone can rank the ones they like
