It was fantastic to meet so many of you at our first Free Fruit Fridays last week. For those of you who haven’t heard about it, Free Fruit Fridays is a brand new initiative led by the WSA Committee, and it’s exactly what it sounds like – you’ll will receive free fruit from the Students’ Union and the Student Committee, no strings attached. The University carry out a student travel survey to find out how student travel habits have changed over time. The results will help inform the University’s Travel Plan, which seeks to provide good, sustainable transport links between University Campuses. For example, last year there were over 5 million journeys on Uni-link buses and our Bike Doctor Service repaired more than 1,000 staff and student bikes. Results of the survey will be reported in the Plan.
