TV Licences on Demand

In General

Are you partial to a bit of iPlayer? Do you spend hours catching up with the latest BBC series on your tablet after a day at the library?

While you will still be able to watch all the telly greats, the law regarding TV licences is changing from 01 September 2016. This means that you will need to buy a TV licence to download or watch any BBC programmes on demand.

Safety Bus extended times during January

We understand that many of you will be busy studying late on campus during January. Our priority is to keep you safe, so we have organised for the Safety Bus to run from 8pm to 6am until 22nd January. We recommend you take the Safety Bus because it is free with your Student ID and will drop you home safely wherever you live. January can be a stressful time for students, you may have University exams, portfolio deadlines, your thesis to write or you may be on placement. All this, coupled with the commitments of your job may feel a little overwhelming. Christmas holiday opening times for the Students’ Union in Southampton and Winchester

In General

The holidays are approaching and you are about to embark on a well-deserved break. Like yourselves, we will be resting up ready for 2016. Here are the Christmas opening times at the Students’ Union between Monday 14th December-Wednesday 23rd December.

SUSU (including all outlets) is closed weekends from 11th December unless otherwise stated.

SUSU is closed on the 24th December and will reopen on the 4th January (normal opening times from 4th January)
