Refreshers’: Bloc Party

In General

While you’re winding down to the Christmas holidays, we’re busy working like little elves to organise an immense Refreshers’ programme for your return.

Refreshers’ Week is like a mini Freshers’, where you can relax and unwind after your deadlines, exams and hand-ins and enjoy some time to party with your friends. Unlike September, you’ll have none of the worry about making friends and all of the fun!

We’ll be holding our sell-out Bloc Party once again on Monday 30 January. Hit Bedford Place for a January blowout, this time with hot tubs, balloon releases, free photobooths and much more!

In General

The ‘You Are More Than’ campaign has been organised to offer you events and activities to help you de-stress and relax away from your studies. Even if you do not have deadlines in January, the campaign is a great chance to try out a new hobby (yoga anyone?!) for FREE on campus.

We have aimed to organise events across the different University campuses for your convenience, but students are welcome to attend any of our events wherever you are based.

How to prepare for exams in January…

In General

So you’ve made it through the first semester and now it boils down to the dreaded January exams. Obviously we know there’s no way to make the revision super fun, but we do have a few tips to help you prepare and (hopefully) feel less stressed!

Start Early

This sort of goes without saying, but start your revision early. Check the dates for each of your exams and prioritise accordingly way in advance. Use all the free time you can during the Christmas break, but of course, do spend time stuffing yourselves with turkey and pudding!

WSA students – keep calm and colour!

Exam season is looming and, as always, our Stress Less Fest will be running throughout January to offer you plenty of support and ways to cope with the pressure of deadlines.

This year has seen a massive rise in adults buying colouring books after it was proven they can reduce stress and help you to wind down – so now we are jumping on the bandwagon and creating our own colouring book especially for you!
